TOURNER DE L’OEIL à Québec
Optical Sound Installation presented at  La Bande Vidéo at Méduse, Québec

The video is made live by a camera attached to a motor and projected through a wireless system.

TOURNER DE L’OEIL is an installation in which the soul source of sound is the light. The process that I use is based on the “optical sound”, principle of the sound motion picture films of the late 1920s and the “graphical sound” developed by Russians and Germans in the 1930s and continued with Daphne Oram and Norman McLaren in the years 1940.

This project was made at LA BANDE VIDEO through an artist in residence program in 2013.
