LUNETTA #1
The name Lunetta refers to the retired professional percussionist and musician Stanley Lunetta.   Stan was notable in the area of electronic music and developed very simple circuits often from abusing digital logic integrated circuit chips. Lunettas are very simple, digital, noisy, quirky electronic circuits. In some way, these aren’t synthesizers because they aren’t designed to synthesize any sounds. There is a great forum about Lunettas circuits at electro-music.com.

Mine is based on Bubzy’s “Spooly Master”. It’s a circuit made from 2 CMOS chips : 4011 NAND gate and 4040 counter/divider. He modified the original circuit to make this more flexible by adding a 4 tap points and a matrix of terminals, each one connected to a different Q output of the 4040. Also, the circuit is sensitive to flesh, moving your hand near it can change the sound.
